Sally started teaching over 25 years ago, where she worked in Primary Schools. She has been Literacy co-ordinator and Deputy Head before becoming a SENCO, a role she has enjoyed for the last 14 years. More recently she has specialised in dyslexia and other SEN and has worked for Oxfordshire County Council as both a SNAST (Special Needs Advisory Support Teacher) and working for DAIS (Dyslexia Advice and Intervention Service). She has worked part-time at The Unicorn School, a specialist school for dyslexia as specialist 1:1 teacher.
Sally is a highly experienced and qualified dyslexia assessor and can offer private full dyslexia assessments both to families or schools. She can offer shortened dyslexia / educational assessments to schools. She works with several local Secondary schools conducting Exam Access Arrangements Assessments and filling in Form 8s for JCQ. She also offers post 16 diagnostic assessments for those students setting off to University and wishing to apply for DSA (Disabled Students Allowance).
Sally is also available to offer advice to schools and SENCOs in a SNAST capacity. She can offer training to teachers or TAs on all aspects of SEN, Literacy difficulties, assessments, interventions or dyslexia support.
